Conductive filtration constructions
Anti-Static Filter Bags
Anti-static filter bags are selected where static dissipation is part of the defined process and safety requirement. Media construction must be considered together with collector grounding, dust hazard assessment, cleaning system and the applicable plant safety controls.

Where it is used
Application context matters.
The same nominal filter-media family can perform very differently when temperature, chemistry, dust, moisture, cleaning energy and collector geometry change. These are common use cases, not automatic material approvals.
- Carbon black and graphite dust collection
- Powder and chemical handling
- Selected food and process dust applications
- Collectors where conductive media is specified by the hazard assessment
Selection inputs
What engineering should review before finalising the bag.
- Dust hazard assessment
- Required electrical property or specification
- Collector grounding and bonding
- Temperature and chemistry
- Cleaning system and dust loading
- Bag and cage geometry

Filter bag FAQs
Questions procurement and plant teams ask.
Does an anti-static filter bag by itself make a baghouse safe for combustible dust? No. Conductive media is only one part of a wider hazard-control strategy. Grounding, collector design, isolation, venting or suppression and the applicable safety assessment remain separate requirements.
What should be specified for an anti-static bag?The required electrical property, material construction, dimensions, cleaning system, process dust, temperature, chemistry and collector grounding arrangement should be defined.
